                                                                                Terms and Conditions:

  • Eligibility

Entry into the Lincolnshire Virtual Open Exhibition is open to anyone resident in Lincolnshire. In order to have the widest coverage of artists, only one artwork per person may be submitted to the exhibition. Of the 110 spaces available in the gallery,15 will be allocated to artists aged under 18.

  • Art Media

The theme of the exhibition is ‘This is Real!’ and the medium can be 2D painting, drawing, photography, or 3D in any medium (eg sculpture, ceramics, or textiles). Art produced in whole or in part by any Artificial Intelligence tools will not be permitted.

  • Framing

For all submitted images of 2D art that are currently unframed (or not painted on cradled panels), a simple ‘virtual’ frame will be added after submission for the purposes of the exhibition. The choice of virtual frame will be made by the artist after the work has been submitted (ie an e-mail will be issued showing the selection of frames available). If an artwork with a virtual frame is sold, it will be the artist’s responsibility to discuss arrangements with the purchaser on the addition or otherwise of a real frame. The artist may wish to reflect on this when pricing their work.

  • Deadline for submissions

Images of artworks for the virtual exhibition should be uploaded via the Submission Form (see link at the bottom of this page) and deadline for submissions is either midnight Dec 1st' 24, or as soon as the gallery has reached capacity (110 pieces of wall art and 6 pieces in 3D). The Gallery will go live as soon as sufficient pieces of art have been uploaded. The exhibition(s) will remain on-line indefinitely.

  • Artwork sizes

The maximum unframed size 120cm x 120cm (~ 4ft x 4ft) will apply for wall art and 90cm x 60cm x 90cm height (3ft x 2ft x 3ft) for 3D media.

  • Selection of works

There is no assessment process other than the work should be suitable for viewing by people aged under 18. The first complement of works received will be shown in Gallery No1. After that a second gallery will be launched to accommodate any further works.

  • Fees/Commission on sales

There is no charge for entering the virtual open art exhibition and no commission charges will be applied to the sale of the art.

  • Sold works

If a purchase has been made, the artist has sole responsibility for organising the payment and for shipping the work to the buyer. A ‘Sold’ notice will appear in the written detail of the art piece as soon as the artist has contacted OPen Art Lincs (e-mail: openartlincs@gmail.com ). An artist who has sold a piece of art, will also be invited to replace it with another piece for showing. OPen Art Lincs will accept no responsibility for issues arising between the artists and the purchasers of art on the virtual gallery.
